Eliza Schulz will meet hikers at 7:45am within steps of the Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology (IMMG), 2455 Old Penitentiary Rd, in the Old Pen dirt parking lot near the Ridge to Rivers trail sign. She will lead you up the hillside to Eagle Rock at a relaxed pace. At various points she will talk about the features of the hillside, the type of rocks, how the hills were formed, what produced the Treasure Valley below and more. The geo-hike is appropriate for children and adults who can walk/hike for up to 2 hours. Because of summer heat, the hike will end by 10:00am.
