Historian Gary Eller will present a lecture about the prospector, prolific writer and poet Clarence Eddy. No other American prospector was better documented from the 1880s to 1920 by self-published writings or by newspaper reports than Clarence E. Eddy, known coast to coast as the Poet Prospector. Gary spent 17 years studying Eddy’s life and collecting articles about him, so we will all learn something. A book of Eddy’s writing and newspaper reports will be for sale at the lecture.
