Bogus Basin: Granite, Gold & Wildflowers

Join Barb Beatty for a geologic field trip to Bogus Basin. Learn about how geology controls the distribution of Gold in the area and see how veins in the granite (pegmatite’s) can tell you a lot about where the gold is (or isn’t). We will meet at Frontier Point/Nordic Lodge 16.3 miles up Bogus Basin Road at 10 am. Your drive from Boise will take about 45 minutes. Nonmembers of the Museum $20, Members and kids Free.
