DESCRIPTION:Join Tom Frey for a popular field trip to the Shoofly Oolites\, one of the largest outcrops of Oolites in North America—located 70 miles from Boise near Grand View. We will meet at 9:45am near the McDonald’s\, 6574 S Federal Way (Albertsons Shopping Center) near the intersection of I-84 and Hwy 21 for a 10am departure. Home early afternoon. Please carpool as much as possible. Paved roads the entire way. Sponsored by Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology\, 2455 Old Penitentiary Rd.
