DESCRIPTION:Participants are limited to 15 for this up-close and personal tour of the beautiful and small Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology. Tour begins at 11:30 AM. You will see Idaho rocks and minerals\, a world-class meteorite exhibit\, an authentic mining camp\, Buzz Saw shark exhibit\, Blacklight display\, plica of Idaho’s own dinosaur-the Oryctodromeus\, plus much more. SUMMARY:Geology Hike to Eagle Rock
DESCRIPTION:Eliza Schulz will meet hikers at 7:45am within steps of the IMMG in the Old Pen dirt parking lot near the Ridge to Rivers trail sign. She will lead you up the hillside at a relaxed pace. At various points she will talk about the features of the hillside\, the type of rocks\, how the hills were formed\, what produced the Treasure Valley below and more.
