SUMMARY:Idaho Gives\, April 28-midnight May 1
DESCRIPTION:Idaho Gives runs from April 28 – midnight May 1\, with early donating beginning on April 14.  Please mark your calendar. This year our goal is to raise $12\,500. The Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology (IMMG) is presenting a $3000 Match. That should help get our campaign going. Any amount you donate is appreciated. Our goal is below: \nThe Idaho Museum of Mining & Geology (IMMG) has an exciting opportunity to revitalize the iconic Table Rock trail\, which is Boise’s #1 hiking destination! We are planning to redesign and replace the existing 2′ x 3′ informational signs on this popular trail\, which stretches from the Old Penitentiary to the summit of Table Rock. The current signs\, which were constructed by the IMMG over 20 years ago\, have suffered from damage\, cracks\, and graffiti\, diminishing the experience for visitors. \nOur vision is to replace these outdated signs with vibrant\, durable displays featuring stunning full-color graphics. These new signs will not only highlight the geological history of the Boise Valley\, but also inspire hikers to dive deeper into our valley’s rich history by visiting our Museum. \nIn December 2024\, we were thrilled to receive a $12\,500 grant through the America250 in Idaho program to fund this much-needed project. However\, in mid-March\, we were informed that the Idaho State Legislature had canceled all grants for America250 in Idaho\, and we will no longer receive this vital funding. \nNow\, we are reaching out to our community for support. We are committed to raising $12\,500 through Idaho Gives to bring this project to life. The preparation work for the new signs has already been completed\, and we are ready to begin as soon as we secure the necessary funds. \nPlease join us in helping to preserve the geologic history of the Boise valley\, as seen from the Table Rock trail\, by contributing to our goal. Your donation will ensure that future generations can learn from and appreciate the geological wonders of Boise. \nDonate here: IdahoGives2025 Add our name Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology at the top in the search box. \nOr copy this into your browser to go directly to our page\, https://www.idahogives.org/organizations/idaho-museum-of-mining-and-geology \nThank you for your support! \nIdaho Gives Team \noperations@idahomuseum.org \nIdaho Gives IMMG \nIdaho Museum of Mining and Geology \n
