March 12 @ 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Do you have a desire to volunteer and you love rocks? Come join us at the Volunteer Orientation to learn more.
If you love rocks and minerals and Idaho History, please join us to learn about volunteer opportunities and to receive an introductory tour of our awesome museum.
The Idaho Museum of Mining and Geology is an interesting and beautiful small museum that’s been run by volunteers for 32 years. It’s next to the Old Pen in Boise. Because of covid the museum is currently open on Saturdays, only, beginning April 2. If we recruit enough new volunteers we’ll add more days. It’s relaxing and enjoyable. Pre-registration is not required but helpful. Don’t be shy, it’s okay to just show up on March 12 at 1pm.
It’s helpful to know something of geology, but not required. Volunteers with no background can also be of help. The main thing is you love being surrounded by rocks and minerals, and you enjoy people.
Masks required of everyone. Please click here to register.
Please direct questions to email@example.com We hope to see you there!
